This week’s White Lily bride swept us off our feet with her stunning images from Kooroomba Lavender Farm. Amy and Tyson’s love was celebrated in the most spectacular setting – surrounded by lilac fields of lavender and breathtaking mountain views. Captured during a heavenly sunset, our White Lily couple’s big day was everything Amy could have dreamt of.
How it all began
Who knew that a ‘car accident’ could lead to something so magical?“I was 16 and ty was 17. I was learning to drive and accidentally drove over his foot as I went to pick my sister up from a party. From that point on I haven’t been able to get rid of him.” *Do not try this at home*
Five years ago, Tyson then finally proposed to Amy on their fifth anniversary: “At just 21 and 22 we went away to the Sunshine Coast whenever we could. No different to any other weekend away we went down to the beach for some drinks and a beautiful sunset. Before I knew it he was kneeling down proposing, it couldn’t have been more perfect!”
The Big Day – Wedding Styling
When Amy and Tyson were planning their special day, the Brisbane couple wanted to create something unique and memorable: “A wedding that completely reflected us as people!” With lavender fields as far as the eye could see, Amy and Tyson’s images caught our attention right away. A unique combo of lilac nature and golden skies, created a wedding so beautiful, we could hardly take our eyes off it. Pink finishing touches added a unique twist to the couple’s wedding styling and created a fun atmosphere. Amy’s special day was made perfect by their friends, who had organised surprise fireworks: “…everyone and anyone knows just how special that was for me (I’m a complete sucker for fireworks and have always joked about the idea of having them at our wedding)”
The Wedding Dress
Aligned with the rest of Amy’s wedding concept, our White Lily bride chose a dress as unique as ever: ”I remember writing on my “wish list” in the white lily consultation was for a gown that was different and unlike no other. My gown is just that, a dress that I will always see as my own and so incredibly unique. From the “wings” as we liked to call them down to the sparkle in the veil, every detail was perfectly unique.” August by Zavana Couture is a true showstopper!
What made your White Lily Couture experience special for you?
“Well firstly, Lisa is a woman I won’t ever forget! She made our experience so easy! She was very flexible and really listened to what I was liking and not really liking with elements of gowns. In three gowns I had found the one, purely because of how she interpreted my wishes!”

A love story that goes all the way back to 2010! This week’s White Lily bride Claire met her one and only on what Claire thought was going to be a normal work day. Their relationship as co-workers soon blossomed into a bond for life. Eleven years later, it was finally sealed with the most elegant wedding at Gabbinbar Homestead. Just like Blair’s proposal, overlooking Brisbane City at Kangaroo Point, the White Lily couple’s wedding day was filled with pure romance.
White roses, chandeliers, romantic candles, and subtle black decor – What can we say? Claire and Blair’s special day was gracefully beautiful: “…we love everything black and white and wanted to capture that style within the day.“ Styled by Poppies for Willow, the Brisbane couple’s Gabbinbar Homestead wedding was everything they had hoped for.
It’s All In The Details
“For us we definitely wanted a great photographer, good music and delicious food. Our aisle song was ‘Simply the Best’ sung acoustically and it was perfection. Our Florist was amazing and thought of every single detail. We couldn’t be happier with the suppliers that we selected. For me specifically, I’ve had KM Make up do my hair and make up for other weddings and I knew they were who I wanted for my own, those girls are so professional and skilled, I couldn’t recommend them enough.”
Bridal Dreams By Emmy Mae
Claire said ‘Yes To The Dress’ after trying on our fit and flair gown PEONY by Emmy Mae Bridal: “I loved how unique and modern it was. As soon as I tried it on, I felt that it matched my personality perfectly and knew it was the one.”
Initially, Claire was worried that her dream bridal experience was going to be ruined by Covid. However, as soon as she arrived at our Red Hill boutique, all of her worries were made redundant “I was so lucky that White Lily were able to make the occasion really special and exciting. Each person that I came into contact with was so lovely, an expert on all the dresses and most importantly there was no pressure to make a decision in that moment! I felt the communication was easy and they exceeded my expectations with each visit. From the styling of the boutique and the amount of dress options to the gorgeous people who work there, the experience far exceeded any others.”
The Worst Someone Can Say Is No
Saying that planning a wedding can be stressful at times would be an understatement, so here is a piece of advice from a bride who nailed it:
“Consider what you want and make sure you don’t skimp on whats important to you as a couple. Take control of your own day and make sure what you organise suits you both. Ultimately we live by the motto – ‘the worst someone can say is no’. We always take the risk and ask the question if we really want something, we relied on this advice and we had the best providers who were able to ensure we had everything that was important to us on the day.”
Complete the sentence: Being married means the exciting start of the next chapter of our lives.

“Calling my love my Husband and him calling me his Wife – there’s something special about that title.”
After 3 years of loving each other, this week’s White Lily bride Kaitlyn and husband Lachlan finally said their I do’s during their elegant Cali’ style wedding at the Calile Hotel on James Street, Brisbane.
The Picture-Perfect Proposal
“Lachlan proposed to me after 3 years of being together on a holiday in Western Australia. We had been on a wine tour of the Margaret River and he asked me to marry him at sunset on a private beach with a cheese and wine picnic.”
What was originally planned a backyard wedding, turned into the most exquisite, yet simple and elegant ceremony and reception in the City. Their gold and white decor was the perfect finish to the Californian vibe of Kaitlyn and Lachlan’s venue choice. Carefully placed greens along with white orchids and roses added a romantic touch and completed the tasteful and minimalist theme of the day: “We always wanted a simple and elegant wedding with basic formalities to spend more time with our guests.”
When planning their wedding, Kaitlyn and Lachlan had to deal with many last-minute changes, due to evolving COVID restrictions; However, luckily, none of their vendors let them down in any shape or form: “The top 4 were The Calile as a whole venue, Kate Dawes floristry, Carly Slade our celebrant and Figtree Photography – these 4 vendors focused on every single detail or our day making for a seamless, stress free and relaxing wedding day for ourselves and our families.“
When Kaitlyn first walked into our bridal boutique, she had a clear vision in mind: “There were so many different styles of gowns at White Lily Couture but I gave a description of who I was and my style and the third dress I tried on was the one – the girls at White Lily listened to who I was and what I wanted out of a wedding dress while still including my Mum and best friend in the experience. I felt like I was the only and most important customer in the shop at that time.” Our White Lily bride fell in love with the minimalist and elegant features of ANTIOPE by Pronovias: “…what I loved most was that it was a timeless style that I’ll always look back on and always love it just as I loved it on our wedding day.”
A Piece Of Advice
Experience is our best teacher so here is a piece of advice from this week’s White Lily bride: “…the most important thing I learnt is that it doesn’t matter what you do for your wedding, it is a day about love and if you have the ones you love with you the day will be perfect. Our wedding day was about us but it was also our opportunity to say thank you to all the important people in our lives for raising and supporting us up until that day cause now you have your husband/ wife to do that for the rest of your life.”
Complete the sentence: Being married means a life of endless love and support – ultimately too grow old and grey with the one who annoys you the most in life 🙂

A breathtaking county scenery, gorgeous dried flower arrangements, and a mission to unite two lovers, for life. This week’s White Lily bride Meagan’s wedding day was pure perfection.
It’s a Love Story, Baby Just Say Yes
Meagan and Kieran first met on a night out at the Royal Exchange Hotel in Toowong. As it turns out, the RE truly is a matchmaker – Kieran finally proposed to Meagan on a mountain top, whilst traveling Canada, in December 2019.
Wedding Planning & Styling
As the months went past and Covid slowly hit Australia, the Brisbane couple decided to move their wedding date from September to December.
“We were fortunate enough that we were in the country that all restrictions were lifted come November. But the day is about you and your partner whether you have 5 people or 100 the love between you and your partner will not change so go ahead with your original plans.”
When their wedding day finally arrived, things couldn’t have worked out more beautifully.
Meagan and Kieran created a rustic-themed day with soft tones and blush decor. The country backdrop offered the perfect balance of grand scenery mixed with an intimate and relaxed atmosphere.
Putting a large emphasis on securing the perfect images on her wedding day, our White Lily bride’s precious moments were captured by Shutter and Lace Photography: “I remember two weeks after being engaged I messaged liv from shutter and lace to see what dates she had available for 2020.” And they truly turned our magical!
The gorgeous low back and show-stopping train of INGRAM by Stella York made Meagan fall in love with her dream gown: “I felt like a princess in it… I loved the detailing on my dress and the style enhanced my figure.“
The White Lily Experience
“From the first time I stepped through the door it was professional, from choosing my the gowns I loved to trying them on it was an amazing experience. There was no pressure at all and the extra treatment of providing champagne just topped it off.”
From Bride to Bride
We get the best advice from those with experience, so here are Meagan’s words of wisdom to all future brides: “Plan your wedding exactly how you want it, embrace all the planning because the day goes so quickly.”
With Covid changes being an all-time risk, Meagan also stresses to remember that the day is about you and your partner: “…whether you have 5 people or 100 the love between you and your partner will not change…” Despite the challenges throughout her wedding planning journey, our White Lily bride Meagan is now as proud as ever to call Kieran her husband. The loved-up couple is now looking forward to sharing the same last name and spending the rest of their lives together.

One thing is for sure, White Lily bride Jordyn and husband Jordon’s wedding day is one to remember. Starting with their oh-so fitting names, their picture-perfect day was gorgeous in every way. Colourful details and tasteful decor, made this week’s White Lily bride and her guests have an unforgettable day.
And just like their wedding day, the way Jordyn and Jordon met was unique and sweet. You know we love a good high school love story, so we were beyond excited to hear that these two lovebirds met all the way back in 2013. The Queensland couple had been going to the same school for years and eventually bonded during their exchange trip to Japan. Inseparable since, Jordyn and Jordon finally became hubby and wifey, seven years later.
Being a Covid-bride means overcoming obstacles, which is why the Brisbane couple had to postpone their wedding day by six months. Yet, rescheduling their celebrations couldn’t stop them from eloping on their original date: “We loved our original date so much that we decided to elope with just our mums and celebrant.” What a great way to keep your original wedding date!
She came, she saw, she fell in love with ERMIN by Pronovias. Our gorgeous ERMIN gown arrived as part of our 2019 collection and Jordyn instantly fell in love with its details, quality, and uniqueness. “My White Lily gown was comfortable, flawless and such stunning quality. I loved that I could add sleeves to make my dress slightly more me. It looked absolutely magical and I couldn’t have loved it more!” Adding the sleeves to her dress completed her vision and gave Jordyn a custom look, that truly photographed incredibly.
Jordyn’s piece of advice to future brides
“Don’t take it too seriously – enjoy the process and try not to get too caught up in pleasing everyone else!“
Jordyn and Jordon are now ready to tackle their future as husband and wife and can’t wait to start a family together.

After 12 years of loving each other, White Lily Bride of the week Sammi and husband Warrick got to say their vows during an intimate and emotional ceremony at Braeside, on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Groom Warrick brought it home with his vows and made our bride of the week Sammi one happy wife: “He was so emotional in that moment and the love I felt was indescribable.” We love LOVE!
Planning a wedding that represented who they are as a couple was their first priority. So, to make their friends and family “feel in the moment” as much they did, Sammi and Warrick ensured that the couple’s big day revolved around their love for each other: “Remember that this is about you and your soul mate. You are celebrating your love and commitment to each other, and your day should be everything you want.” We couldn’t agree more!
One of Sammi’s favourite memories from the day was seeing her bridesmaids’ faces when spotting her in her wedding dress: “MY HYPE TEAM!! Thinking about it makes my heart so happy.” And her hype team was absolutely right, Sammi looked incredible in her wedding dress!
When she first walked into our Brisbane bridal store, she had no idea that she would fall in love with GALIAH by Stella York: “It was the complete opposite to what I imagined myself in, yet it was absolutely perfect in every way. The sparkle, the colour, the detail!! ARGHH I literally kept it out for 2wks and almost cried when I had to put her away!”
Upon asking Sammi what she loved most about her experience in our bridal boutique, she applauded our attention to detail and how she got to share the ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ moment with her closest friends and family: “I got to try on a range of dresses, I had Inese as my bridal consultant and she listened to everything I was saying. Down to the fine details, she listened to my family and what they loved and didn’t love. Then when I put the dress on, she and I both looked and just knew it was the one.”
Since Sammi and Warrick only started making final decisions one to two months before the wedding, they didn’t have to make any major Covid-adjustments. Although they were prepared for a dance battle, the only thing they missed out on was a d-floor. The Brisbane couple still managed to put together their dream wedding day with memories they will cherish forever. For all brides who are struggling with new Covid-19 restrictions altering their plans, Sammi’s advice is to keep calm and adapt to change “Don’t freak out, talk to your planner or other brides. Adapt to the changes, you will be amazed to find out you can still have your dream day even with a global pandemic.“Now, that the couple finally got married and Sammi is about to finish her degree, they are looking forward to buying a house together and hopefully going on a honeymoon soon.Scroll down to see all photos from Sammi’s special day…Venue: Braeside Gold CoastPhotographer: JessTookThisFlorist & Stylist: Style On QCake: Two Little BakersHair: Tina Kristen WeddingsMakeup: Cara Powell MUABridesmaid dresses: Forever NewSuits: Black Jacket SuitingCelebrant: Robert Simmons

Imagine walking down the aisle and looking at your future husband, whilst your favourite song is playing in the background. Cassie & Mitch’s wedding was raw, romantic, and filled with intimate moments.
What started off as a flirt online, soon became a much stronger bond. Sure enough, the couple realised that their journey was meant to last a lifetime. Once engaged, Cassie wanted to make sure that their big day aligned with the couple’s style. Therefore, she said it was extremely important to her to find vendors who understood Cassie and Mitch’s style. She also said it was important they were within close range to their wedding venue: “I didn’t realise until later how much easier everything was finding vendors that were local to our venue, it made for such an easy process.”
Speaking of which, our bride of the week most certainly had to battle with Covid restrictions this year. In the end, Cassie managed to finalise her plans only two weeks before the wedding. Since the couple was set on keeping their wedding date, they had to change venues three times: “We had three completely different plans ranging from a casual park wedding in Kingscliff, NSW. To a small beach ceremony on the Gold Coast to our final plan that didn’t eventuate until 2 weeks before our day.” We can’t even begin to imagine what her stress levels must have been at…
Luckily enough, the restrictions lifted just in time. In the end, their guests from Brisbane and Sydney were allowed to attend Cassie and Mitch’s wedding. Thank you, universe.
When choosing her dress, Cassie wanted to ensure that ‘The One’ reflected who she was. Cassie fell in love with MINI by Nicole Milano: “My dress was my absolute dream style, the lace and glitter was me to a tee. Glam!! Plus it hugged all my curves in the best way & I added a detachable tulle wing veil to top it off.”
Upon asking our bride of the week what her favourite part of visiting our Brisbane bridal boutique was, she said that she loved having the support from her sisters. Seeing them sitting in our “gorgeous pink chaise lounge, drinking champagne” as Cassie showed them each dress was truly special. She reminisces about their reactions and also remembers feeling comfortable: “The staff are so professional, I had Francesca help me find my dress and I could not recommend her more, as a plus-sized woman she made me feel so comfortable which was a worry of mine leading up to the appointment.”
Cassie’s advice to future brides is short and sweet: Don’t let all the wedding buzz get in the way! “…at the end of the day it is about the two of you marrying each other, everything else after that is a bonus!”
The couple is now ready to continue their new chapter as husband and wife. Cassie and Mitch are looking forward to renovating their dream home and slowly building a family together.

White Lily bride Sheree and Greg’s church wedding exuded opulence and a true love. Their wedding was surrounded by their family and friends, stunning art-deco detailing and a modern elegance.
Sharing an epic love story, the pair met in Brisbane through mutual friends the weekend before Sheree moved across the country to Perth. Sparks flew from this initial meeting and after moving to WA, Sheree and Greg stayed in contact almost daily for three months online before Sheree decided she needed to move back to QLD. So Greg flew over to Perth to rescue his true love and from there, the pair drove from Perth back to Brisbane together and haven’t been apart since. “It was the best decision I have ever made,” Sheree says. Talk about true love!
Uniting at the beautiful St John Vianny’s Catholic Church in Manly, Sheree and Greg prioritised their guests feeling loved in their wedding planning. “I really just wanted everyone to have an amazing day with us and to have all our friends and family together” Sheree explains. “We were just both so excited to be getting married to each other.” The stunning church architecture of St John Vianny’s was the perfect location to say I DO for the couple, before moving from Manly to the CBD for for their sit-down reception at MIRRA events.
Coming to White Lily Couture after recommendation from her maid of honour and best friend, Sheree found wedding-dress shopping easy. “There were so many gorgeous dresses at White Lily but as soon as I put my dress on, I knew that this was exactly what I was looking for.”
Sheree stunned in Pronovias’ Eithel gown, a mermaid gown crafted in delicate lace and tulle, hugging in all the right places and finishing with a long, sophisticated train. “I absolutely adored my wedding gown. I had always wanted full lace and the cut on this particular gown suited my body shape perfect.” She effortlessly styled her bridal look by adding spaghetti straps to her dress and wearing jaw-dropping chandelier earrings from Brisbane jeweler, Christie Nicolaides.
Her favourite moment of the big day? “Walking down the aisle and seeing the look in Greg’s face as he was standing at the altar waiting for me.” What more could you want?
Offering words of wisdom to future brides and couples, Sheree emphasises the need to focus this during your wedding planning. “At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you marry your partner, the little things and details at the time seem important, but really, your guests won’t even be aware if something hasn’t turned out exactly how you had planned. ”
Post-nuptials, the pair enjoyed their dream honeymoon in Europe, exploring Malta, Tuscany and Nice for three weeks. “It was the most perfect, relaxing honeymoon and the trip of my life!” Looking excitedly to the future together, two is becoming three! “We are currently expecting our first baby at the end of June!!”

Fate would have it that Eloise and Corey would cross paths through their local rugby league club, the Rosewood Roosters in 2009. Corey, as a player in the Under 18’s Team and Eloise as the assistant-coach’s daughter. Eleven years later, in March 2020 the loved-up team tied the knot in an effortless rustic wedding at the Gold Coast hinterland’s Summergrove Estate.
Planning their wedding the two wanted their special day to be as minimal as possible, with Eloise a firm believer that less is more, whether flowers, outfits, decor or budget. “Even though it is one of the most important days of our lives, it was important that we didn’t spend more than we could afford.”
Wearing Josie by Erin Clare, Eloise loved her gown’s botanical 3D lace detailing and its relaxed yet stylish feel. “It was sooo comfortable,” she says. “Comfort was a big thing that I was looking for in my dress. I knew I was going to be wearing it for a very long time so I wanted to make sure I was going to feel comfortable wearing it.”
Shopping at White Lily Couture, Eloise valued most her stylist, Shannon’s honesty and care. “Shannon didn’t try to sell me whatever I tried on which gave me a sense of trust in White Lily,” loving her experience saying YES to the DRESS! Ordering an Erin Clare gown, Eloise also took up the unique option to have her gown directly made with our Noosa designer. “Working one-on-one with Erin Clare was hands down amazing and she is such a beautiful person. She made my Mum and I feel welcome each time I had a fitting and just went above and beyond for us.”
The couple opted for a modern rustic aesthetic, choosing Summergrove’s lush garden for their intimate ceremony and the venue’s luxe all-white barn for their reception, with festoon lighting, towering barn doors and feature timber beams. Despite a tummy full of butterflies the morning of the wedding, Eloise said her most memorable moment was seeing her Dad for the first time before the ceremony. “I will never forget the look in his eyes and the tears of joy. I could tell he was truly proud of me and happy for me.” Overlooking the hinterland, our bride felt everything click when her eyes met Corey’s at the end of the aisle. “As I saw Corey a sense of calm came over me and I couldn’t wait to get down the aisle to him.”
Unfortunately the newlyweds were unable to enjoy their dream honeymoon as planned in late-March due to COVID-19 with the duo flying to Hamilton Island the day prior to the closures of all non-essential businesses. “We had to get an earlier flight home and left the day but we are so excited to be back once this is all over!”
Looking excitedly to their future together, Eloise and Corey are most looking forward to starting a family very soon. “I can’t wait to start a family with Corey and have a little brother or sister for our three fur babies.” Offering her advice to future brides and grooms, Eloise suggests to not stress over the small things! “It is easier said than done but try not to stress too much! Everything will work out how it is supposed to. At the end of the day as long as you get to marry the person you love then that is all that matters.”
