Crossing paths at senior year formal thanks to their best man Kurt, Zoe and Zach had no idea that they would later wed in a stylish and intimate Summergrove Estate wedding.
“I went to Zach’s year 12 formal with our best man, Kurt and Zach at the time had a girlfriend. Two years later, Kurt invited me to his 20th birthday party, where Zach and I re-met,” she said, “luckily, Zach had just broken up with his girlfriend… and the rest is history!” Zoe said.
When planning their special day, it was important for the couple to trust their vendors to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible. “It was important to me that I trusted my vendors so that our wedding day was a beautiful, happy, stress free day for all of my family and friends,” she said.
It is without denial that your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life, and for Zoe, seeing Zach waiting at the other end of the isle was a pinnacle moment. “Seeing Zach’s face full of emotion at the other end of the isle when I entered was so special,” she said, “and of course seeing how happy our family and friends were the entire day.”
Zoe wore the classic A-line Meadow gown, featuring lace and tulle detailing and a little tad of sparkle. “I love how unique my dress was; the ivory colour and the beautiful detailing – it’s just a little bit extra,” she said, “who doesn’t want to be a little bit extra on their wedding day!?”
When asked to offer advice to other couples who are preparing for their wedding, Zoe said:
“Start your wedding planning early. Don’t leave things until last minute. We had everything finalised weeks before the wedding day and this meant we were completely relaxed and could properly enjoy the lead up to the wedding and the wedding day itself.”
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in the Maldives relaxing and eating incredible food. “Zach planned the whole honeymoon as a surprise. I found out where we were going when we arrived at the airport.”
The couple has recently purchased their first home together and are super excited to have a place of their own, build memories and start a little family.

After first meeting in high school and later becoming friends during college, Monique and Alex battled a year of long distance after securing teaching jobs in different places – Adelaide and Tasmania. After a job opening for Monique, she relocated to Tasmania joining Alex, who have now tied the knot at the historic and picturesque Stonefield homestead in Tasmania.
Like most weddings, Monique and Alex wanted their special day to reflect who they are as a couple: a small guest list, an intimate and fresh garden venue with bumblebees also in attendance, plenty of food and their favourite music as the soundtrack to their special day. “We loved that Stonefield provided buffet dinner and dessert for everyone, no one left the reception hungry,” she said.
After not sleeping well the night before her wedding and trying to control her butterflies all morning whilst her bridal party got glammed, Monique recalls that the instant she saw her husband waiting for her, it all vanished. “That was the best feeling, and I’ll always hold onto that feeling of joy, confidence and peace as I saw him grinning (and crying) back at me.”
Monique was incredibly confident walking down the aisle in her timeless and romantic A-line Grove gown from Australian label, Stella York. In love with the little cap sleeves and the subtle sparkles in the bodice complimented by the dreamy tulle skirt, that was the perfect length for Monique. “It was so god darn comfortable – sucking me in in all the right places and I was still able to run, twirl and dance all night long,” she said, “truly my perfect dress.”
When asked what advice Monique would share with couples who are preparing for their wedding she said:
“When things get crazy (because they well and truly do), stop and think “do WE really care about this?” – not your guests or parents or whoever but you two. Does it really matter that your centrepieces are a different shade of gold to what you originally planned? All that matters on the day is you two – you won’t even look at the centrepieces! Have those special people in your life involved in your day in some way! It was all the more memorable and personal for us having one of our wonderful friends MC our reception and our mentor and friend say some words about our story during the ceremony. My very close family friend is also a pastor who flew all the way from the States to officiate for us.”
Since wedding, Monique and Alex honeymooned in beautiful Oahu, Hawaii, spending their days snorkelling, kayaking and turtle spotting on the North Shore. However, that was only after a day’s delay when their first plane was struck by lightning leaving Australia.
The couple looks forward to lots of travelling, laughing and just experiencing the world together. “We just want to follow the path God lays out for us and love and support each other through it all,” she said.

When Jess and Mat chanced upon each other at a house party, where Jess was too nervous to even say ‘Hello,’ at first, but it wasn’t long before they realised how much they had in common.
It was clear that the pair were meant to be, after recently holding their wedding at Preston Peak Winery – the rustic Hinterland wedding venue West of Brisbane.
This was by far the most important element of planning for real bride, Jess. It was all she had hoped for, “Location – a naturally beautiful place was the priority because I didn’t have to spend a lot of money on styling and could put money towards flowers, entertainment and delicious food without breaking the bank.”
That meant that the loved-up duo could focus on what really mattered on the day, such as being with loved ones and marrying her one and only. The exact moment their eyes met was Jess’ favourite part of the day. “Seeing my husband at the end of the isle, my nerves instantly melted the moment I held his hands.” Said Jess.

How we love a good a meeting story – even more so when it could have leapt straight out of a classic rom com film! Mikaela and Nick’s wedding was the stuff of every girl’s childhood dreams!
The pair first met at the gym where Mikaela was a member and Nick was a personal trainer. Mikaela recalls her first sighting of her now, husband fondly, “When I first noticed him I made a comment to Mum about how good looking he was. She joked, saying I should book a session with him and that’s exactly what I did!”
That session clearly went well, as the two hit it off and we’re now sharing their wedding!
Nick cried tears of joy as beautiful bride, Mikaela headed down the aisle to reach him. This was her favourite moment of the day.

Samantha and Nathan’s emotional wedding turned out to be a most beautiful day filled to the brim with tears, joy and love. Having met at the tender age of 14, the pair were ready to say ‘I do.’
They had first crossed paths at a dance party courtesy of a mutual friend and have been inseparable ever since. Samantha told us of how their love story played out over the years,
“We felt that no matter what life dealt us, we could take it on because we had each other. Two children, houses and investments later, and we still had not gotten around to getting married because we kept telling ourselves that there was more important things in life than a big flashy wedding. Then just a month shy of our 12 year anniversary, Nathan had decided it was time to pop the question. Before he had a chance to pick up the ring, he was in a horrific accident resulting in him sustaining a spinal cord injury. Our lives became a rollercoaster ride for some time, but it really brought to light the importance of life, our family and our love.
The following year, Nathan proposed while playing hangman with our daughters at the beach we used to run away to when we first started dating. I still get goosebumps and tears when I think about it!
We set our wedding date to Wednesday the 9th of May 2018 – our 15 year anniversary. We had a small and intimate wedding with our family and dear friends and to say it was a magical day was an understatement. Emotions were running high and with our youngest daughter crying because her daddy was crying, there wasn’t a dry eye in the Butterfly Forest!”
The couple opted for a lush garden setting with plenty of greenery at Wetland Walkabout with a contemporary and romantic reception at the Marquee Mackay Marina. The day featured pops of blush pink and dusty blue with plenty of foliage.
Samantha looked positively radiant in Wanda by Nicole Spose – a soft and whimsical A-line gown featuring stunning beaded illusion lace through the bodice. Our beautiful bride said it was everything she’d imagined and then some! With the help of stylist, Maddie, Samantha was able to take her dream dress from Pinterest to reality!
Samantha explained, “I picked my gown with the idea of having a modern elegant meets traditional princess feel.”
We definitely think that together, they nailed the brief! Our beautiful bride also loved the fact that her gown allowed for plenty of wine, cheese and fun to be had!
Samantha paired her bridal look with a single-tier raw-edged veil, statement silver earrings, a classic glamour up-do and a bold smokey eye.
