Sophie and Danny shared the magic of saying their vows in a New Zealand vineyard wedding. The family vineyard added another layer of sentimentality to the already momentous and exciting occasion. Family and and friends gathered for the duo’s special day saying ‘I do.’ under an organically styled arbor overflowing with florals.

Their guests have watched the pair grow in their love for each other having met size years ago at work. Sophie working as a flight attendant and Danny a newly qualified helicopter pilot, she initially turned him down for a dinner date! Sophie kept a strict “Don’t date date anyone from work,” policy. After a little to-ing and fro-ing, she finally said ‘Yes.’ And the rest is history.

We are so lucky to collaborate with some of the best in the business, so we thought…Hey – why don’t we share some of our favourite vendors with you?!

Introducing Grace from Milk & Honey Cake Creative

We love a little sass and character that accompanies a great story of early beginnings. If anyone can attest to this, it’s Grace of Milk and Honey Cake Creative! One of Brisbane’s greatest wedding cake creators. We sat down with Grace to have a chat about some of her favourite things about being a Cake Creator. Here’s what she had to say:

“My cake journey started with myself as a broke yet tenacious 19-year-old who couldn’t afford a wedding cake. And so, I became determined to learn how to make one myself – figuring it couldn’t be that hard. Well, suffice to say that I was most certainly wrong about that assumption, and my cake was a bit of a hot mess! But, what I learnt from that experience, was that I truly did love cake making”

Joyous after the yes vote was passed, Kat and Kirsten were one of the first to say ‘I do’ in a Queensland same sex marriage.

After almost five years together, the couple tied the knot in a lavish and exquisitely thoughtful Byron Bay ceremony. Their venue of choice was the unique and rustic Earth House nestled into the expansive gardens of the grounds, which evokes tasteful simplicity, inspired by the natural environment of the hinterland.

The location of the ceremony was kept under lock and key as guests were brought to the garden escape in a super-cute red double-decker bus!
